The joy of canyoning for beginners at Fango (or Fangu)
Level : Beginner to intermediate, ages 8 and above
Location : The hamlet of Tuarelli, in the Fango Valley, near Galéria
Duration : Half-day, 2-3 hours of activity
Departure : 8am – Return: 12.30pm
Shuttle meeting point : Calvi
A river full of jumps, swimming, walking and waterslides into natural rock pools.
This descent is mainly oriented around jumps, counting no less than a dozen from 1m to 8m in height. All are optional (phew…) so that children, parents, and even serious athletes can all do this trip together!
We give specific advice to help with jumping technique, allowing people to reach or even push past their limits without feeling any pressure. Fun and safety come first!

The canyon is situated in the Fango Valley Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO-classified site since 1977. The valley is also designated as a Natura 2000 site. The Fango springs from its source at the foot of Capu Tafunatu (2335m), located in the heart of the Corsican Regional Natural Park. The Fango Valley is home to one of the largest and oldest holm oak forests in Europe. Some trees are several hundred years old!
